Mallorca's towns and cities pay tribute to the island's richness. Discover Sóller, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, and its botanical garden located at the heart of Mallorca. You should also visit Palma, the island's capital with its typical Mallorcan Gothic architecture. You can go to one of the 6 best restaurants on the island to get a taste of Mallorcan gastronomy with its Moorish, Jewish and Italian influences. The main specialities are cold meats, ensaimada, a sugar cake, and Mallorcan soup made with cabbage and onions. If you are still here on 12 September or 31 December, you will have the chance to attend the island's main festivals, celebrated in memory of the Christian reconquest of Mallorca. It is pleasant to walk through the lively streets where you can see locals performing a traditional dance.

This mountainous area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the island's highest point : Puig Major. From this mountain, a panorama of magical landscapes awaits you. Do not miss the island's religious buildings with their perfectly preserved architecture. In particular, the Cathedral of Mallorca, which was restored by the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, among others. If you want to admire the work of other artists, the many museums on Mallorca offer temporary or permanent exhibitions by various artists.

Take a seat in one of Mallorca's restaurants to taste the products grown for decades on the island, such as olives, vegetables, almonds and Binissalem, the island's traditional wine. You can also find all these products in the local markets and taste them directly in your rental villa, by the pool or in front of the sea.
